Job Purpose:
Wealth Counsellor will work with Relationship Managers / Regional Heads / Sr Regional Heads and Market Head to provide clients with professional guidance on Investment products. Partner and build the Investments business in line with the banks strategy so as to achieve and maintain leadership position in the location / region.
Client Management:
To be seen as an indispensable partner to the assigned Relationship Managers on their client solutions for investment products.
Identify clients risk appetite by following the structured risk profiling process of the bank, determine / validate clients risk appetite, investment preference, liquidity requirements, return expectation and suggest suitable investment products distributed by the bank.
Ideate and provide / refer diverse recommended investment options to achieve the clients requirements and provide solutions appropriate for the clients product needs
Review clients investments with the bank and outside at periodic intervals for the assigned clients, conduct review meetings with the clients, provide independent view on the existing portfolio, make new suggestions through templated portfolio reviews and suggestions.
Prioritise client requirements and cross refer products and services across various businesses in the bank and subsidiaries (a) Third party referral products (PMS / AIFs/ Fixed deposits / Bonds) (b) Refer clients to HSL for equity trading (c) Refer clients for other services offered (Global investing, Will, Estate planning etc)
Support the Relationship Mangers in new client acquisition to wealth by demonstrating the banks capabilities, providing quality proposals, review of their investment holdings outside of HDFC Bank
Increase investment penetration across client base and RM base. Identify and develop alternative procedures of business development to draw new assets. Attract new assets from existing and prospective clients (Net new money). Collaborate and suggest new products with the product team through local market intelligence
Create micro strategies, understand competition to build and maintain leadership position in the location / region.
Training & Development:
Develop and maintain wide knowledge of financial and savings products, educate RM teams on various subjects pertaining to investments.
Participate and conduct morning huddles for the RM teams to provide regular marker updates, new product offerings.
Risk Management & Compliance:
Ensure that the reviews and new product proposals are in line with the investment strategy, products approved by the bank
Clear and maintain all internal and regulatory certifications.
Highlight breaches (Asset allocation, product concentration) in clients portfolio (if any) to supervisors / central team at all times
Other(s)
Provide strategic inputs, participate in system development requirements, maintain local competition data across products, strategies and highlight to management.
Support central team on various initiatives, monthly deliverables.
Educational Qualifications (examples listed below):
Graduation/Post-Graduation: MBA/ CA from reputed business school
CFP / CPWM preferred
Other mandatory regulatory certification: NISM (VA)
